CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL

Employs systems and methods found in modern, ballet, and jazz. This class draws on modern dance techniques as well as new philosophies of movement that depart from classical dance techniques. This class also teaches dance along with lyrics and feelings.

MUST BE registered in and attending a current ballet class.

BALLET

The foundation of all dance forms and should be taught to all children and taught properly. Our program is based on the RAD syllabus with elements of  Vaganova and other ballet styles to keep them well rounded. TERMINOLOGY is strongly used and taught.  Students will be challenged in their studies to help push them to progress in their classes. Mastery of certain skills, as well as hourly requirements, must be met to advance in levels. Students must follow proper ballet etiquette in every class! 

POINTE

Training En Pointe begins only after the strong, consistent technique is developed, and feet, legs, and back have sufficiently matured. The class will consist of proper technique in classwork before beginning pointe work. 

Concurrent ballet training is required. Must have multiple years of ballet training and must audition with the teacher for approval

MODERN

Students will be given the chance to further explore expression and freedom of movement in a dynamic way.  Many styles and techniques are offered in this class.  Improvisation and Composition are also implemented to stimulate individuality and creativity.  Strength and conditioning are strongly focused on! 

Must be registered and attend a

ballet class to be eligible.
