Jennifer Dancy – Director
Ms. Jen has been teaching dance locally for over 30 years. As a studio Owner, she strives to bring a high level of professionalism and technical education to her students and the Upper Perkiomen Valley. She has had students accepted into many prestigious summer programs like Joffrey, ABT, Rock school, and Alvin Ailey to name a few. Jen has had numerous students attend the Performing Arts Hs in Bethlehem. She teaches all styles of dance but with an emphasis on ballet. Ms. Jen strongly believes the foundation of dance is with ballet, strong technique, performance, and terminology. In addition to running the studio, she teaches dance in the community by choreographing Upper Perkiomen High School’s annual musical.
Ms. Breanna - Artistic director
Breanna teaches Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, and Tap. She earned her B.F.A. in dance from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Before coming to Shenandoah, she attended the Lehigh Valley Charter high school for the Performing Arts, in Bethlehem, PA.
Throughout high school, I performed with a youth dance company, Music, and Motion. With this company, I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to perform all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia. I reached audiences such as U.S. Senators, children of all ages, and was able to bring art to life in different museums.
I performed with a pre-professional ballet company for two years, New Horizons Dance Alliance, where I was able to perform in The Nutcracker and Dracula.
Ms. Sarah - Assistant to the Director
was born and raised in Quakertown, PA. She began her own dance training over 25 years ago at the age of 3. She has over fifteen years of experience as a local studio dancer and competitor, winning many regional awards during her years performing. In addition, she has 6 years of formal vocal training and vocal competition experience. Sarah has a background in all styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern/contemporary.
Sarah graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lebanon Valley College in 2007, with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Since then she has worked professionally as a long term substitute, personal special education aide, and head Pre- K teacher. Her background in education lends itself well to working with developing dancers, communicating with parents, and effectively managing a dance classroom, including students of all learning styles.
Beyond teaching dance, Sarah enjoys working behind the scenes at performances. She has a great deal of experience with costuming, hair & makeup design, and stage management. Sarah is a firm believer that dance and arts education has an important place in the lives of young people. She feels that dance allows students a positive outlet for their emotions, promotes health & body awareness, and instills discipline in students that carry over to academics and many other areas in life. Sarah currently lives in Quakertown, PA with her husband and two young children.
Jaclyn DuChateau- Faculty
Jaclyn has spent her life devoted to the arts and dancing her way through life. From Accent School of Dance to the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts to Columbia College in Chicago where she earned a Bachelors's degree in dance. She is a certified instructor at Barre3 Lehigh Valley. She has expanded her dance career and follow my photography passion with her own business Jaclyn Du Chateau Photography LLC. She is happy to join our staff at Studios on Main this season.
Ms. Katie - faculty
Katie is a graduate of Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts, where she majored in dance. In her career, she has studied all styles of dance but has focused specifically on classical ballet. Katie studied as a dance major at George Mason University and also has a degree in Kinesiology from West Chester University. While at WCU, she performed with the dance team and dance company. Katie pursued her master's degree at Alvernia University in Occupational Therapy and currently works for St Luke's Hospital. Katie currently teaches ballet at Studios on Main and lives in Quakertown with her husband, daughter, and puppies.
Ms. Jackie - Tumble director
Ms. Jackie has brought amazing energy and talent to our studio. Her level of coaching has pushed our students to go to the next level. She brings strong technical coaching to our students and above all things believes each student needs to advance at their own pace. Jackie has had no major injuries due to the fact that her students do not do tricks by "throwing" or "chucking". All her students have a tear of fundamentals they must attain before moving on to the next level. Jackie does not believe in holding a student back and will move any students when they excel to the next level. Ms. Jackie has been a substantial addition to our family. Ms. Jackie has been coaching gymnastics and all-star cheer for 15+ years while also a real estate agent for her other job. Jackie is married and has 2 girls.
Mr. James - Faculty
James is from Allentown, Pennsylvania where he spent most of his life training in dance, theatre, and music. He made his Broadway debut at the age of ten in the original Broadway cast of How The Grinch Stole Christmas. He went to perform in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and dance in film, Enchanted.
James got his education at The State University of New York at Purchase. He went to the Jacob's Pillow Musical Theatre program and danced with great choreographers such as Chet Walker, Bill Hastings, and Shannon Lewis. In his professional career, he has been performing at regional theaters across the country, national tours, and choreographing for dance studios in the tri-state area.
James teaches and choreographs for our studio when he is not performing professionally around the US. He brings a level of professionalism, energy, and challenge to our students. James choreography has performed and won MANY overall awards at competitions in the eastern US.
MS. BRITTANY - FACULTY
Brittany began her love for dance at three years old. Towards the beginning of her career, she was a member of the 2004-2005 Philadelphia 76ers Junior Dance Team at the age of 10. She is a graduate of the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts and earned her BA in Dance from Radford University. In her career, she has studied all styles of dance but narrowed her focus on classical ballet. Brittany has performed in many ballets and has studied under prestigious dancers such as Joffrey Ballet’s Trinette Singleton, and Colorado Ballet’s Inessa Plekhanova. Brittany also has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Kutztown University and is a Licensed Social Worker, working towards her clinical license. She is currently a social worker at Phoenixville Hospital. Now that Brittany and her fiance are building a house closer to the studio, she is excited to return to teach at Studios on Main!
Brianna Keller- Teacher -in- Training
Brianna is a senior at Lehigh Valley Performing Arts Charter HS and majors in Dance. Brianna will be pursuing a career in Performing Arts Management in college. She has danced since she was 5 at Studios on Main. Brianna is being mentored in our studio as a teacher. She is wonderful with children, patient, and has great classroom skills. Brianna has taken ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, modern, tap and tumble. She teaches all ages under the direction of the teachers and has all her curriculum approved by the staff of the studio. Brianna is an accomplished teacher with many accolades from parents.
