Miss Jen - DIRECTOR: Jennifer Dancy has been teaching dance locally for over 30 years. As a studio owner, she strives to bring a high level of professionalism and technical education to her students. A former dancer herself, Jennifer teaches all styles of dance, including Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Contemporary and Jazz. Jennifer has also taught acro/gymnastics at a local gym including choreographing floor routines for level 4-9. In addition to running the studio, Jennifer teaches dance in the community by choreographing Upper Perkiomen High School's annual musical and donating her time to teach ballet at inner city studios. Jennifer's former and current students have gone on to attend many prestigious college and summer programs including Joffrey Ballet School, Alivn Ailey summer program, American Ballet Theatre, The Rock School, Lehigh Valley Charter School for the Performing Arts, Desales University, Shenandoah University, Broadway Dance Center and many more! Jennifer believes strongly in providing her students with a very wide variety of dance experiences, frequently bringing in professional guest teachers for masterclasses right at the studio, arranging local performance opportunities for all level dancers, and accompanying her students on auditions in NYC.
Miss Breanna: Artistic Director-Miss Breanna joins us as Jennifer's artistic director this year. She is a recent graduate of Shenandoah University with a BFA degree in dance. Breanna brings our students the most current knowledge and experience in the dance world, including a fresh take on contemporary Modern, Jazz and Lyrical choreography. Her choreography has won numerous awards and has been selected to perform at several choreographers concerts. Miss Breanna has danced for nearly 20 years, beginning her training locally, and has experience dancing and teaching in both studio, company and college settings. Miss Sarah: This is Miss Sarah's 7th season with Studios on Main. Sarah began her own dance training over 25 years ago at the age of 3. Miss Sarah has 15+ years experience as a studio dancer and competitor as well as 6 years of formal vocal training. Miss Sarah has studied all styles of dance, but prefers to focus her teaching on Tap, Jazz and Contemporary. A graduate of Lebanon Valley College, Miss Sarah has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She has also has 4 years experience as a PreKindergarten teacher. Her background in education lends itself well into working with our younger developing dancers and managing a dance classroom! Check out her page HERE!
LEA BARATS-YANOME: INSTRUCTOR Lea comes to us with a degree in Dance from Point Park University and a graduate of the Lehigh valley Perfroming Arts HS. Lea has 22 years studying Ballet, Contemporary Ballet and Jazz, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theater. and Tap at Point Park University, Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts, That's Dancin', Olga Kresin School of Ballet, Professional Center for the Arts, and VanZant Dance Academy.Four years extensively studying Latin Dance styles Salsa, Bachata, and Cha Cha with Richard Nelson, Darlin Garcia, Eric Bass, Loyal Martinez, Javier Morales, and Carlos Lopez. She has taught at Studio 5,6,7,8, Accent School of dance, Lehigh University and several studios in the Colorado area.
Miss Katie - INSTRUCTOR: Miss Katie is a graduate of Lehigh Valley Charter School for the Performing Arts. In her career, she has studied all styles of dance but focuses primarily on classical ballet. Katie has performed as a soloist in many ballets, including the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Dracula, Swan Lake and Paquita. She has attended prestigious summer programs and received a performance based scholarship to study at the Point Park Univerity International summer dance program. Miss Katie studied as a dance major at George Mason University and also has a degree in Kinesiology from West Chester University. She is currently working on her Master's in Occupational Therapy. In addition to teaching in a studio setting, Katie has volunteered her time in adapting the dance setting for dancers with disabilities. Miss Katie teaches ballet at Studios on Main.
Miss Jackie - COACH: Ms Jackie has taught at Central Bucks Gymnastics and has been an All star Cheer Coach and gymnastics coach for many years. She is fun, professional and energetic!! Ms. Jackie will be Directing the NEW REVAMPED TUMBLE PROGRAM FOR 2017.
Mr Eric- COACH Mr. Eric comes from years of coaching at Parkettes gymnastics and currently works at Spirit Gymnastic in North Wales. Mr. Eric is a former dancer and has been coaching gymnastics for 15+ years. He is a Great addition to our program!! Mr. Eric will be coaching and choreographing for the competitive TUMBLE team.
BOYS HIP HOP
Anthony C- Hip Hop Instructor- Anthony began dancing at the age of 3 and quickly developed a lifelong passion for it. He first began learning classical ballet at Reportory Dance Theater in Allentown, and went on to train in the style for 19 years, leading to him starring in productions such as The Nutcracker, The Wizard Of Oz, Carousel, and Sleeping Beauty. He has also provided choreography for shows such as Hairspray, The Wizard Of Oz, and The Nutcracker, as well as having created pieces for several winning hip-hop competition teams. Anthony first discovered hip-hop at the age of 11, and has since become incredibly well-versed in several styles of hip-hop, something he uses to provide his students with a very diverse hip-hop class.
Emilie R- Hip Hop Instructor- Emilie first began dancing at the age of 4, learning ballet at Accent School Of uDance in Allentown, where she continued to study for several years before finding a love for the styles of hip-hop and contemporary, and eventually the style of krump in which she now specializes. Since then, she has dedicated her years to traveling to various workshops, conventions, and studios in order to aid in her goal of becoming a well-versed, well-rounded dancer. Through this, she has had the opportunity to learn from choreographers such as Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo (Nappy Tabs), Rhapsody James, Kevin Maher, the Poreotics, and several others. In addition, she has not only claimed several trophies throughout her time on competition teams during her high school years, but has also choreographed routines for several competition groups as well. Her ultimate hope and goal is to be able to bring everything she learns from each experience back to her students in order to help them grow to their fullest potential.
